For you young people who were born after Jerry died, who might have not caught on, Deadheads used to have spreadsheets, so people could bet on what songs might be played on a particular night. They were based on what songs had been played ( come back in to circulation) on particular tours. My points being : the Dead had a huge repitoire AND the fans were rabid enough to stake money on what they THOUGHT might be played on a particular night. I do NOT think any other band in history had such interest and speculation as to what they might or might not play on a particular night.
