新木場にある巨大スペース、スタジオ･コースト。そこで昨日の夜に開かれたイベントが「ageHa」。私が担当している番組のホストでもある Jazztronik（僕じゃないです）がDJをするということで、なれない深夜のドライブで何とかたどり着いた。入り口ではIDの提示を求められ、関係者といってもデジカメ持込禁止、と厳重なセキュリティ･チェックを経て一路プールサイドへ。オープンエアで気持ちよい、なかなか素敵な空間でしたよ。途中、全裸の男性がプールに登場し、その後バーカウンターでくつろぐ姿は新鮮でした。もうちょっと近場にあったらなあというのが、正直なところです。ただスペース的なことを考えると、都心では無理かもしれません。そういったことに対応するためなのでしょうか、なんと渋谷から無料シャトルバスが出てるというのが驚き。
I’ve been Studio Coast in Shin-Kiba, an ivent called “ageHa” was there which including Jazztronik’s DJ play, where is a bit far away from center of Tokyo and isolated. A security guard wanted me to show ID when I tried to enter, and no digital camera allowed. For what? However, the set up was fine, open air space by the small swimming pool. And to my surprise, it operates shuttle bus service between Shibuya and there, Shin-Kiba for free.

海、飲み屋デビュー Kai & my wife @Beer restaurant in Ikebukuro, Tokyo

きょうはラジオ番組の収録でした。ジャズトロ＜僕じゃないです＞スニーカー。
Recording, radio program called “Jazzin’ the Night”. The host (Jazztronik, not me) has nice shoes.

今日は日本対ナイジェリア＠国立。ホームでの初勝利を3対0で飾った。高原が良かった。その後、アムステルダム・トーナメントでの、リバプールとガラタサライ（トルコ）のマッチを観た（もちろんTVで）。なんとリバプールはプレ･シーズンにもかかわらず退場者二人。試合も2対1で敗れ、リバプール･ファンとして試合は楽しめた部分もあったが、後味の悪いものになった。とはいえ、ジェラードが相変わらずラフ･プレーを続けているのを見ると、愛着さえ感じてしまう。何でこんなリバプール好きになったのか分からない。
さて、肝心のプレミア･リーグといえば、稲本のいるフラムがホームにボロを迎えたマッチは、稲本のゴールもあって楽しめた。昨シーズンも出足は好調だったので楽観はできないが、怪我さえなければフラムは面白い。しかし、おそらく今シーズンもMUでしょう。ボルトンとの開幕戦が4対0の圧勝で、只者ではない感じだった。チーム全体、個人個人の勝つことへの意識の高さがTVを通じても感じられるほど凄い。横綱だ。僕は嫌いなチームだけど。
Today, I’ve watched international soccer match on TV; Japan vs Nigeria @ National Stadium. Fortunately, Japan won the first time on home soil since Brazilian coach “Zico” took control. The Suchi Bomber ‘Takahara’ scored beautifuly and effectively, even the Nigerian team was B-class. After that, I continued to watch TV as Liverpool vs Garatasaray @Amsterdam Tornament was on air. Liverpool’s performance as a team was not great figure at all, and they had two red cards despite this was one of the friendly matches. Although Reds’ mid fielder Steven Gerard is still rough, I still like Liverpool with no firm reason. It is not easy to predict who won the Premier League, to the extent as seen in opening match, I’m afraid Manchester United will be the champion again. MU seems like a heavy weight champion in top form. I never like it, though.

これはいったいどんな意味なんだろう？殺伐とした都会の生活と対極にあるものを目指そうというのだろうか？
I don’t understand what is it trying to say. Japanese words means “city of human” as it is. What is it? Of course many cities around the world have been realized by humankind. However, livin’ in the city, as Stevie Wonder sang, sometimes it’s very hard to endure, and the billboard may say help each other though. It is hard to understand.

At last it stopped. But, it started again.

It was rain all day. I can’t believe its Aug. 15th today. Every year this memorial day esjpecially for Japanese has been very hot so far as I remember. Where are hot, muggy summer days going? Flowers in the rain look very fine.
敗戦記念日のきょう、一日中雨が降って、寒かった。近くの公園で咲いている花が素敵だった。

ヨーロッパでは猛暑だそうですが、きょうの東京は朝からすごーく涼しい一日、いや寒いといってもいい。この異常気象の余波で次男は風邪を通り越して気管支炎になってしまっている。心配だが本人は至って溌剌として、奇声を発したりして気分は悪くなさそう。しかし10月並のこの気温は、Jリーグの選手たちにとっては好都合でしょう。大体が冬のスポーツとして学生のころから過ごして、プロになっていきなり夏に試合かよ…と思うプレーヤーがいないはずない。
It is reportedly very hot in Europe, while Tokyo has very chilly today. This extraordinary climate made Kai catch bronchitis. He seems quite bouncing with shouting loudly at someone, though I’m worrying about. This cooler temperature is good for J-league players, however. In Japan, soccer is not winter sports at all. It has emerged as summer sports when J-League (Japan’s professional soccer league) has launched in 1993. Didn’t FIFA try to stop? It can kill player, very dangerous to play football in Summer.
